Total noob question

Machine: k40 with a m2 nano.

Board: cohesion 3d laserboard.

Firmware: “I have a new board and I’m using whatever it came with”

Problem/ Question: I finished installing the new cohesion 3d board as well as the graphic user interface that I purchased from cohesion. When I power on the board, is the screen also supposed to activate or does the engraver need to be connected to a computer?
I tried to upload images, but I can’t as a new user.

If you are talking about this ^ you don’t need to be connected to a computer for it to turn on but you have to make sure it’s properly installed to the cohesion 3d Laserboard.

Hi Eric,

Welcome to the forum! I have upgraded your trust level so that you can now upload photos.

The GLCD has to be connected to the LaserBoard properly, which has to be receiving power. If you’re not getting a back light at all, your cables are probably swapped.

Please start with the troubleshooting section here: GLCD Overview

Let me know if that resolves your issue or if you continue to experience it.

Thank you so much! I went through the installation again and voila! It works great!!! Thanks again
