Problems with installing Laserboard in Full Spectrum MLE-40

Machine: Full Spectrum MLE-40

Board: LaserBoard

Firmware: I have a new board and I’m using whatever it came with

Problem/ Question: Doesn’t seem to be functioning correctly.

LightBurn finds the controller Windows 10 64-bit but not on Ubuntu 20.04.

It seems to want to move, but just shudders for a bit.

Did you provide those pictures? We need pictures to understand your setup!

Are you using a Windows emulated setup in Ubuntu, or the actual Linux version?

I’m using the actual linux version.

From the Ubuntu ‘dmesg’ output:

[101360.157151] usb 5-4: new full-speed USB device number 2 using ohci-pci
[101360.360191] usb 5-4: New USB device found, idVendor=1d50, idProduct=6015, bcdDevice= 1.00

Sorry, forgot to add.

It doesn’t find it using the ‘Find My Laser’ button or doing a ‘Create Manually’

Since Windows can see the board, this appears to be a software issue with your Linux setup and LightBurn. Have you tried asking in the LightBurn forum? There are several Linux users there who may be able to help you configure it correctly.

Thanks for your help.

I didn’t realize that there was a separate support forum for LightBurn.
