I am helping someone to retrofit their very large and laser cutter (used for cutting out dacron sail fabric for hang gliders) that has a pen attachment on the side of the head (offset from the laser by about 600mm). This is used to draw the lines on the fabric to show the overlap when sewing the pieces together.
At the moment his controller is a very out of date DOS computer with parallel port, and he manually switches between laser and pen options on the control panel before running the drawing and cutting PLT files.
Is there a feature in the Cohesion3D controller that would allow me to arbitrarily turn on and off these two different tool types independently (pen on, pen off, laser on, laser off) and allow for the physical offset? Has anyone else encountered this requirement?
