Old parallel port K40 compatibility?

I have an old K40 with parallel port set up and the SG2004.8.6 card. Is the cohesion board compatible with this older style system and still plug and play?
I purchased a new power supply, a HY-T50 that i plan to fit along with the Cohesion board.

If you take a well lit photo of your current board with wiring we will better be able to help.

Lots of photos of the controller, wiring and power supply would be very helpful. Doubtful it would be plug and play, but can be rewired if you’re good with electronics and wiring.

Gentlemen thank you for the quick replies:

The new power supply I have already purchased was recommended to me a HY-T50 : https://www.amazon.com/HY-T50-Engraving-Cutting-Machine-Carving/dp/B06Y2442CP

Looks like some mild rewiring is all that’s needed since your ribbon and Y motor cable should be plug and play. I can help guide through it if you like?

I may need the help, thank you very much!
I will go ahead and order the board this evening

Sounds good. Is the lighting in that unit florescent from the main AC lines? I keep thinking the older units were set up like that.

Also, you can now upload photos directly. Sorry that I forgot to change that for you when first asking for photos.

No lighting at all on this unit unfortunately

Ok. You can get those under the cabinet/over the counter lights that work quite well. Or find a secondary power supply if you want to try using low voltage lights. Most of everything in your electronics compartment will need to be removed to make way for the HY-T50 and new controller. The ballast resistor can also be removed.
