Cohesion Mini with Lightobject Z Table

Machine: K40

Board: Cohesion Mini with seperate power supply

Firmware: Smoothie

Problem/ Question:

I’m trying to add a LightObject Z Table directly to my Cohesion Mini without an external driver but am having some troubles. I tried the config from the docs but the motor doesn’t turn. I know I have it wired correctly because it works fine plugged into the Y-axis. Also when plugged into the Z-axis plug the motor has resistance. Anyone have any ideas what I’m doing wrong?

Can you snap some pictures of the board as it sits with all its drivers in place?

Hi Jamie,

This is one I had in my photos, I can take a better one tonight if this isn’t good enough.

The Z table and Rotary guide for the C3D Mini shows the use of external stepper drivers to run these items. The provided config files are for that wiring of external stepper drivers and will not work with A4988’s.

If you would like to attempt running them this other way, just use the normal batch 3 files at the bottom of the C3D Mini install guide.

Thanks for the help everyone, I was using the wrong config file.
